It is an honor to share thoughts with the PWC community, which is such an integral part of my life.

Over the years I have watched the spirit move and change lives in the community, including mine. I remember the day I felt drawn to the fledgling community that was born out of brokenness within the body from our previous community.

I called FD for a lunch meeting, and he graciously accepted. As we ate, I shared with him that God had put on my heart to “come” and serve in any way I could. The message was to be open and available, so Sandie and I made a big step in faith that God had a plan. That was about 15 years ago. Since that time so much has happened to both our family and PWC.

Major changes in my career, relocated our home, watched my wife of many years go from a vibrant, fun-loving woman to being a resident in a facility, to going into the arms of Jesus. Crisis after crisis. Yet, God’s Grace and the PWC community supported us until the end.

I am now a single man, but God has drawn me into a level of service to the community that fills my heart.  I see the Spirit continuing to bring people who are looking for a place to be loved and taught the truth of God’s Word to this very special community.

Just like Elisha who stood at the mouth of the cave listening for God, it has been in the quite times that I have heard God’s call to trust Him and love others. Through serving, being involved, and learning God’s Word, my heart and soul continue to be nurtured by the unconditional love that is displayed by the PWC family.

Being called to go deeper has aways been the voice of our pastors, along with being patient and available. I have learned to be more tolerant, patient, authentic and willing to be changed.

God never stops reaching out and moving us closer to Him. He never ceases to amaze me at how limitless He is in His Grace and Mercy. I just have to be still and let God be God.

Thank You for your love, support, and laughter you bring to my life. May we all be still and listen for God’s voice and respond by loving deeper.
