Dear Friend,

Our Sunday Service begins at 10:00 am In-Person and on Facebook Live for those who cannot physically attend.

The scripture reading for this Sunday, October is Luke 17:11-19. Please read, reflect, and pray with the passage before Sunday. Here is a synopsis of the reading: Jesus heals 10 lepers, and one, the Samaritan, returns to give thanks.

Please come to Sunday worship prepared to hear the Word of God proclaimed; we invite you to read the scripture passage before service. The music for this Sunday can be found on the top-right hand corner of our website.

The School of Prayer is beginning this Wednesday, October 12 at 7:00 pm. Mark your calendars for the other Wednesday evenings: October 19, 26
November 2 and 9.

The School of Prayer will explore different ways and styles of prayer and why we are called to prayer as Christians. The goal of the School of Prayer is to explain and experience how one can have an intimate relationship with God through prayer.
You are most welcome to invite your friends!

Check out the book Learning to Pray: A Guide for Everyone by James Martin in the Cross Shop. This will be the book we will be using for the School of Prayer in October. It is on sale for only $22.99.

In his book Learning to Pray James Martin offers us an image of God who “taps, knocks, calls out, whispers” - inviting us into the presence of the “Beckoner.” Please join us each Wednesday at 6:00 pm prior to the School of Prayer October 12 - November 9 for Lectio Divina and Contemplative Prayer. If you have any questions, please contact Deacon Karen Klemens.

A Spiritual Director or Companion provides support and listens for the signs of the Spirit at work in your life. He/she is there to assist the seeker in discovering their deepest identity in Christ and as a sounding board as one searches for meaning and purpose in life. Deacon Karen is a fellow seeker who has been formed, rooted and trained in the ancient Christian contemplative tradition. She is available to meet Wednesday afternoons by appointment. If interested, please contact her at 602-677-4027.

Marriage Enrichment is taking place tonight, Friday, October 7 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is a great way to deepen your love and commitment to your spouse while supporting others in their marriage. Please contact Pastor Mark for more information.
