Sunday Morning Bible Study
with Fr. Dale

This Sunday, April 30; 8:45 am to 9:30 am
in Building 4:12
Resurrection Appearances of Jesus in the New Testament

Join us for Worship
this Sunday at 10:00 am

It is important to remember when Jesus began his public ministry, he brought people together. Jesus realized being a follower of “The Way” would not be easy and we would need the physical and spiritual support of one another as part of a community. If you are in town, we look forward to seeing you in person on Sunday at 10:00 am. It is so vital we support one another in-person in our Christian faith and gather as a community for worship every Sunday.

The scripture reading for the Fourth Sunday of Easter, April 30 is John 10:1-10. Here is a synopsis of the reading: Jesus is the gate for his sheep. Please come to Sunday worship prepared to hear the Word of God proclaimed; we invite you to read the scripture passage before service. The music for this Sunday can be found on the top-right hand corner of our website.

PWC Kids is this Sunday, April 30 beginning at 9:30 am in Building 4:12. This interactive bible study will focus on the Gospel reading that is proclaimed to the adults at worship. This is an incredible opportunity for children ages four through fifth grade to learn about Jesus. This is our last one for the school year.

Anointing of the Sick: On Sunday, May 7 during the 10:00 am service we will be anointing those who are sick in our community. If you know of anyone who needs physical healing, please invite them.

The Praise and Worship Center will be participating in Operation Christmas Child (The Shoebox Ministry) again in the fall of 2023. If you are interested in learning more about this incredible Christian outreach opportunity, please consider attending one of these events. We can attend as a group from PWC! Please RSVP to Cyndie Taylor for a head count: 480 205-4272.

Relationships in Recovery
Saturday, April 29
12:30 pm-1:30 pm

Relationships in Recovery connects the dots between family of origin roles and rules, the concept of congruency, and relationship patterns. Attendees will learn ways to be more self-reflective around ineffective and painful relationship patterns and why/how to choose something different.

Meditation
Every Saturday
10:00 am-10:30 am

"I meditate so that my mind cannot complicate my life" - Sri Chinmoy. This quote rings true to what meditation can do to help uncomplicate your life. Meditation can also reduce stress and anxiety while bringing your focus to the present rather than constantly worrying about the past or what's going to happen in the future. Come join us and experience what meditation can do for you.

A Reflection
by Henri Nouwen:
Trust You are Loved!
The word faith is often understood as accepting something you can’t understand. People often say: “Such and such can’t be explained, you simply have to believe it.” However, when Jesus talks about faith, he means first to trust unreservedly that you are loved, so that you can abandon every false way of obtaining love. That’s why Jesus tells Nicodemus that, through faith in the descending love of God, we will be set free from anxiety and violence and will find eternal life. It’s a question here of trusting in God’s love. The Greek word for faith is pistis, which means, literally, “trust.” Whenever Jesus says to people he has healed: “Your faith has saved you,” he is saying that they have found new life because they have surrendered in complete trust to the love of God revealed in him.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10:00 am!

Love,
Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
