The kids finish up at the worship service, coming back during the Lord’s Prayer. You are welcome to bring friends! Mark your calendar for The School of Change Wednesdays: March 1, 8, 15 and 22 @ 7:00 pm
Change can be difficult, but it does not have to be. Often the difficulty is in the perspective or how we look at change. Change in behavior, outlook and attitude is a process. We don’t know where we are going and the “in between” often feels messy - like a Holy Collision.
Change your life. God’s kingdom is here. Matthew 4:17 MSG

A Message from Deacon Peter Klemens about Feed My Starving Children Our community has heard Father Dale announce opportunities to volunteer at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC). As the Deacon of International Outreach, I thought I should help the community understand what we accomplish at FMSC. The short explanation is we fill small bags with a combination of vitamins, dried vegetables, cups of rice, and soy.
These items are sealed in a bag, packed in a box, and sent to one of hundreds of locations around the world where children are in need. The work is very enthusiastic, satisfying, and not strenuous.
Please go to: https://www.fmsc.org/ for more information on this worthwhile opportunity to volunteer.

For the next few weeks, we will be running a series entitled, “Meet the PWC Deacons,” hopefully, this will give you a better opportunity to know our deacons and how they can minister to you.

Meet the Deacons
Deacon Carol Palmer
My name is Deacon Carol Palmer, but my real name is a follower of Jesus Christ.
My favorite verse in the gospel of Mathew says it all to me.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.
You see this is the great commandment that Jesus told us just before he left this earth. In my faith I believe that verse was not a suggestion but a commandment to follow in my life. I have always felt deeply how important it is to live and tell others of the message of Jesus.
My ministry is the women’s ministry. This is such a privilege to share this faith with the women at PWC. I am the one that sees the light that shows in their lives, when they discover Jesus in a new way. I believe that every seed planted, whether I see it or not, God will take it from there.
When you get to know me you will see I am a wife, a sister, mother, grandmother of six, a great grandmother of three, an ordained pastor, and deacon; but most of all I am a Child of God. That is the real thing I pray you see in me.
Peter and I have done ministry for 34 years together and keep God in the center of our loving marriage.

Your giving to the PWC ministry makes a difference in how we can minister to others. Due to your tithing, we are able, many times, to meet the needs of those in our community who are experiencing spiritual, emotional, and physical concerns. From pastoral counseling to grief support, to Bible Study, to Adult Education, to providing food through Matthew’s Crossing for families who are economically struggling to PWC Kids and Marriage Enrichment and our funeral ministry; your consistent giving makes a difference, a big change in people’s lives!
|
Here are the different ways you can tithe to PWC:
