Dear Friend,

This Sunday, December 12, is the Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete Sunday, and we look forward to seeing you in person at Sunday Service at 10:00 am! Our scripture reading for this Sunday is Luke 3:10-18. Here is a brief summary of the reading: John the Baptist teaches the path of repentance and announces Christ.

Please read, reflect, and pray with the passage before Sunday. Just as our pastors prepare by reading, studying, and reflecting on Sunday’s scripture passage, so should we. The music for this Sunday can be found on the top-right hand corner of our website or below:
Song lyrics (pdf format)
To participate in our services online, go to: PWC website and find the Facebook button at the top of our home page.

FYI, the Delta variant is affecting those who are both vaccinated and unvaccinated. For Sunday service we have socially distanced the chairs in church and strongly recommend we wear masks.

The Prayer Chain Committee has asked to share this prayer for Fr. Dale:
Dear Heavenly Father, we give you thanks for our Fr. Dale. Today we lift Fr. Dale to you along with his doctors. Lord, give his doctors your wisdom that they may determine your treatment plan for him. We also ask for your wisdom for Fr. Dale that he may know when to rest, know what to eat, and know what you are doing for him. We ask that you guide the surgeon during the upcoming procedure. May the Holy Spirit be so very present in the operating room that everyone there is aware and blessed by it. These things we pray in the holy name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Check out our daily Advent reflections on our website: Advent 2021 Readings and Reflections. There is a reflection for everyday during Advent. If you are in town, we look forward to seeing you in person on Sunday at 10:00 am, if your health permits. It is so vital we support one another in our Christian faith and gather as a community for worship every Sunday. It is important to remember when Jesus began his public ministry, he brought people together. Jesus realized being a follower of “The Way” would not be easy and we would need the physical and spiritual support of one another as part of a community.

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday! Have a blessed weekend! We hope during this Advent Season you are growing in your relationship with Jesus.

Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
