Dear Friend,

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday at 10:00 am for our service. If possible, it is important that you are worshipping with us in person. As Christians we come to Sunday service, not just for ourselves, but to give public witness to our faith and the importance of Jesus Christ in our lives to our fellow community members at PWC.

Our scripture reading for this Sunday, October 3, Mark 10:2-16. Here is a summary of the reading from Mark: Jesus teaches against divorce and welcomes children.

Please read, reflect, and pray with the passage before Sunday. The music for this Sunday can be found on the top-right hand corner of our website or below:
Song lyrics (pdf format)
To participate in our services online, go to: PWC website and find the Facebook button at the top of our home page.

FYI, the Delta variant is affecting those who are both vaccinated and unvaccinated. For Sunday service we are going to socially distance the chairs in church and strongly recommend we wear masks.

The first Brothers’ Ministry meeting of the fall is Saturday, October 2 at 9:00 am with Dr. Skip Watters, who will talk about men’s health. All men are invited and you are most welcome to bring a friend or two! We will serve breakfast.

The Women’s Bible Study will be starting up again on Saturday, October 2 at 9:00 am. The topic for the October 2 session is: Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People.

Don’t forget this coming Wednesday, October 6:
Contemplative Prayer: In-Person or Zoom: 6:00 pm
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Class: In- Person or Facebook Live: 7:00 pm

In the past month Our collections are down, those who have contributed in the past have not been giving. PWC has expenses we must meet every month so that we can continue our ministry of bringing others to Jesus Christ. Our ministries are dependent on the financial stewardship of community members. If you have stopped or been lax in your giving, ask the Lord to guide you in prayer.
Here are the different ways you can tithe to PWC:
Mail in your gift to: Praise and Worship Center, 2551 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225.
Donate on our web page: Donation Form

Are you homebound? If so, Deacon John Null can bring you communion. The only exception is if you have or are recovering from Covid. The best way to get in touch with Deacon John is by contacting the church office, at 480-649-0300, and leaving a message.

If you are sick and in need of meals while you are sick, Dawn Paschke, Deacon Dennis’ wife, will be coordinating this ministry. To leave a message for Dawn, please call the church office at 480-649-0300.

If you are in need of pastoral counseling Fr. Mike Lessard is available on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Please call the church office to make an appointment at 480-649-0300. He is a great resource!

We want to pray for you! PWC has a prayer chain committee who will lift you and your loved ones in prayer. You can submit a prayer request at: Prayer Request Form.

If you are in town, we look forward to seeing you in person on Sunday at 10:00 am. It is so vital we support one another in our Christian faith and gather as a community for worship every Sunday. It is important to remember when Jesus began his public ministry, he brought people together. Jesus realized being a follower of “The Way” would not be easy and we would need the physical and spiritual support of one another as part of a community. Make the commitment to in-person Sunday worship if your health permits.

Enjoy your weekend! Pray for peace in our world and people’s hearts! Let us pray for the gift of joy and hope!

Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
