Attention Women of PWC: On Wednesday, June 1 (this is a change from our usual Saturday morning gathering) we are having Kick Off for our summer series for Women’s Ministry. We will be meeting in the evening for one time only and serving dinner. Our new series, Summer in the Psalms, will be on King David’s writing in the Book of Psalms. This will be a new format for our teaching series. Since we are serving dinner, please RSVP to Deacon Carol Palmer by texting her at 206-612-1742, so we can have an accurate count and order enough food. Dinner will be at 6:00 pm, please come at 5:30 pm to socialize. Evangelize and invite other women to join us!

The Men’s Ministry will be meeting in Building 4:12 on Wednesday evening, June 1, at 6:00 (this is also a change from our usual Saturday morning gathering) for a teaching and discussion on the Power of the Holy Spirit. Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. Invite a friend, come enjoy getting to know each other more and delving deeper into the power of the Holy Spirit.

Contemplative Prayer and Leccio Divina are two of the great treasures of the Christian tradition of prayer. Please join us second Wednesdays June 8, and July 13 via Zoom from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm.This is the ZOOM LINK. Contact Deacon Karen for further information.

A Spiritual Director or Companion provides support and listens for the signs of the Spirit at work in your life. He/she is there to assist the seeker in discovering their deepest identity in Christ and as a sounding board as one searches for meaning and purpose in life. Deacon Karen is a fellow seeker who has been formed, rooted, and trained in the ancient Christian contemplative tradition. She is available to meet Wednesday afternoons by appointment. If interested, please contact her at 602-677-4027.

Fr. Mike Lessard is available for pastoral counseling on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Please call the church office to make an appointment at 480-649-0300. Fr. Mike is an excellent resource!

Thank you for your dedication to the Praise and Worship Center. Your giving allows the holy work of this community to thrive and for us to be Jesus to those we encounter on the journey of faith. For example, is the work of Matthew’s Crossing and our ministry partnership with them. As inflation hits the economically vulnerable, people are being forced to make choices between food, gas, electricity, or rent. Due to your commitment, Matthew’s Crossing is available to our brothers and sisters who are struggling and provide them with food boxes.
Here are the different ways you can tithe to PWC:
Mail in your gift to: Praise and Worship Center, 2551 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225.

Our website reflections will inspire and invigorate you! On Mondays a new reflection comes out each week written by members of our community. Click on our Weekly Reflection Tile and be nourished. Here is the link: Weekly Reflections Page. This week is Deacon Peter Palmer and next Monday, Deacon Rich Anlauf.

Put Pentecost Sunday on Your Calendar! Pentecost is June 5, 10:00 am. Please remember to wear red. It is on Pentecost we celebrate the birth of the church.

Are you homebound? If so, Deacon John Null can bring you communion. The only exception is if you have or are recovering from Covid. The best way to get in touch with Deacon John is by contacting the church office, at 480-649-0300, and leaving a message.

If you are sick and in need of meals while you are sick, Dawn Paschke, Deacon Dennis’ wife, will be coordinating this ministry. To leave a message for Dawn, please call the church office at 480-649-0300.

We remember those who are struggling in our society, those grappling with suicidal ideation, elderly people who see no purpose to their life, those who are poor, and the people of Ukraine, to name a few. We pray for peace in our world and peace in our hearts.

Love,
Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
