This Sunday is Mother’s Day, we will honor our moms with a special blessing before service and each mom will receive a carnation to show our love and gratitude. Flowers for moms will also be on sale in the Cross Shop!

Open to all married couples, Marriage Enrichment will meet tonight, Friday, May 6 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in the church. This will be an excellent opportunity to grow in your relationship with your spouse through the person of Jesus, through a presentation, and small group discussion questions. Dinner will be served!

Men of PWC: This Saturday, May 7 is your opportunity to grow in your Christian faith and support other men in experiencing Christ through the Brothers’ Ministry. We are meeting from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in Building 4-12. A scrumptious breakfast will be served! Our theme will be the Holy Spirit.

The Women’s Bible Study is also meeting this Saturday, May 7 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the church. Our bible study will be: The New Nature: The Nature Salvation Gives Us. We will be serving a wonderful breakfast.

PWC Kids is this Sunday, May 8 beginning at 9:30 am in Building 4:12. This interactive bible study will focus on the Gospel reading that is proclaimed to the adults at worship. This is an incredible opportunity for children ages four through fifth grade to learn about Jesus. Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles: mark your calendar for this Sunday. The kids finish up at the worship service, coming back during the Lord’s Prayer. You are welcome to bring friends! Lifeline Screening, the nation’s leading provider of preventive health screening, will offer affordable, non-invasive and painless health screening at Praise and Worship Center on Tuesday, May 10 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A package of five screenings to identify risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions will be offered:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)

These five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. You have to register first by calling 1-888-653-6441. Cost is $159.00 for all screenings.

Join us for the final Sunday Morning Bible Study with Fr. Dale on Sunday, May 15 in Building 4:12 from 8:45 am to 9:30 am. The bible study series will be on The Four Gospels and How They Reflect the Resurrection. There will be no bible study on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8.

Mark your calendar for the Second Annual PWC Yogurt Fundraiser on Friday, May 20 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Zoyo Yogurt at the corner of McClintock and Guadalupe. Their yogurt and toppings are tasty and delicious; proceeds go to PWC! Last year we had a wonderful time!

A Spiritual Director or Companion provides support and listens for the signs of the Spirit at work in your life. He/she is there to assist the seeker in discovering their deepest identity in Christ and as a sounding board as one searches for meaning and purpose in life. Deacon Karen is a fellow seeker who has been formed, rooted, and trained in the ancient Christian contemplative tradition. She is available to meet Wednesday afternoons by appointment. Looking for a book for summer reading? On Sunday, Fr. Dale suggested the book Learning to Pray by James Martin. It is an excellent book about prayer, helping you to pray and different types of prayer. We sold out on Sunday but are ordering more and hope to have Learning to Pray back in the Cross Shop this coming Sunday. The cost is only $17.99.

The Recovery Café team will be putting on an informational session on our Recovery Café. We'll talk through what it looks like to experience a day in the life of the Cafe and bring you up to date on our build, launch plans! You'll be able to get a glimpse of our Cafe and we'll talk about what lies ahead. Pizza lunch provided. It will take place on Sunday, May 15 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the church.
