Dear Friend,

Last Sunday we had the largest number people attending in-person services in a while. It was good to see so many members of our community! People talked about after having received their second vaccine for Covid-19 that they felt more comfortable being out and about. With that said, we only want you to be present on Sunday when you feel comfortable and safe.

Our in-person services continue this Sunday, February 28 at 10:00 am, the first Sunday of Lent. Our scripture reading for Sunday is Matthew 22:34-40. Please read, reflect, and pray with the passage before Sunday. Please have your PWC Lenten postcard ready to use to recite The Prayer of St. Francis.

The music for this Sunday can be found on the top right-hand corner of our website or below.

Join us for our Prayer Retreat on Zoom with Deacon Cheryl Armstrong and Deacon John Null this Saturday, February 27 at 10:00 am. Destination: Complete Dependence on God: "Loving God Alone." On Zoom at: ZOOM LINK

Lent is a time for reflection and preparedness. It is a time to fully and consciously enter the Paschal Mystery. All are invited to join us for Contemplative Prayer each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm from now through March 31. We come together to Listen to God’s Word (Lectio Divina) followed by a time of communing with and resting in Holy Presence. It is a graced experience to truly be with God, and one another, for the greater sake of our world. We will both gather at PWC and via Zoom. Here is the link - ZOOM LINK.

Join us this coming Wednesday March 3, at 7:00 pm, either in person or on Facebook Live, for our Lenten Adult Education Series on the Prayer of St. Francis. Father Dale and Fr. Mike Lessard will be teaching this Wednesday on Where There is Doubt, Faith.

Springtime in the Valley is one of the most beautiful times of the year to be outside. For Lent, why not combine prayer and our wonderful weather by sitting in prayer by our St. Francis statue. You can social distance and be in the presence of God!

Pastoral counseling is something you might find beneficial. Fr. Mike Lessard is in the office on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. He now also has 1:00 pm appointments as well. Or, if you want to social distance or cannot come into the office, Fr. Mike is available via the phone. Please call the office, 480-649-0300, to make an appointment with Fr. Mike. If you are struggling with something in your life, please know we are here for you and want to assist you.

Pastor Mark is here to help you get signed up for the COVID-19 vaccine. We have heard from a number of our members who have either signed up for their vaccine or have received their first shot. We are also acutely aware that some are struggling to get signed up. If you are having trouble navigating the site, please call Pastor Mark at the office, 480-649-0300, and he will assist you. Here is the link to register for the vaccine for Covid-19: https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov/. You can also call: 1-844-542-8201 or 602-542-1000.

Even with the pandemic we have a lot going on, we are still doing lots of ministering here at PWC! Right now, we are only scheduling month to month. Check out our calendar for the rest of February and March: Calendar of Events.

Thank you for your continued generosity and prayers! Your tithing allows the important ministry of PWC to continue and flourish. You can tithe in one of three ways:
Mail in your gift to: Praise and Worship Center, 2551 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225.
Donate on our web page: Donation Form.
Sign up for monthly giving with a credit card or voided check. Just call the office at 480-649-0300.

We give thanks to God for those who have created and are working to distribute the Covid-19 vaccine. May our Lord continue to bless them in their efforts!

See you this Sunday morning at 10:00 in church or on Facebook Live.

Love,
Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
