Dear Friend,

As announced on Sunday at services we are taking tonight off from Facebook Live, but this may be a good time to go back and watch our “old” Facebook presentations/videos and be inspired once again! Please go to our website: PWC website and find the Facebook button and find Facebook at the top of our home page.

We will be back next Wednesday, February 10 at 7:00 pm on Facebook Live with a teaching on the story of the Prodigal Son, but with a different perspective, from the point of view of the older brother! Please mark your calendar.

This Sunday at our 10:00 am service we will be anointing those who are ill or struggling. If you cannot attend in person, we will be praying over people who are watching on Facebook Live.

Looking for another way to be inspired this week? Did you hear a sermon on Sunday that challenged you and you want to hear it again? You can hear all sermons going back to March. On the PWC website you can find it under the “Podcasts” tile. Put PWC on your smart phone. Whether an Apple or Android, download the app: Podbean and then find the PWC podcasts. Make sure it has our logo. After finding PWC press FOLLOW.

Don’t forget about our Weekly Reflections on the PWC website: Weekly Reflections. This week Charlotte Greene is featured and you will enjoy it. Dennis Paschke is scheduled next week with a wonderful reflection.

Our next Women’s Bible Study is this Saturday, February 6 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am on Zoom. The focus of the bible study will be: God Uses Our Past to Build our Future. This is the permanent log in to Zoom:
Meeting ID: 520 977 5118

Lent is a time for refection and preparedness. It is a time to fully and consciously enter the Paschal Mystery. All are invited to join us for Contemplative Prayer each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm from February 17 through March 31. We come together to Listen to God’s Word (Lectio Divina) followed by a time of communing with and resting in Holy Presence. It is a graced experience to truly be with God, and one another, for the greater sake of our world. We will both gather at PWC and via Zoom. Here is the link:

This past year we saw a significant increase in the prayer needs and requests from our community, family, and friends. In response, the Prayer Chain Ministry is planning for growth! To kick-start 2021, we are hosting an Enlistment Campaign to encourage more PWC members to COMMIT or RECOMMIT to being part of our faithful prayer team. To sign up for the Prayer Chain, please call the church office at 480-649-0300. We will then host an All-Team Training Session on Saturday, February 13th at 9:00 am via Zoom. The meeting link will be sent out prior to Saturday's training.

Lent begins with Ash Wednesday on February 17. Here is what we are planning: Drive thru Distribution of Ashes; ashes will be available all day from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, and you do not need to get out of your car! We will also have a service in the church at 7:00 pm in person or on Facebook Live. Our theme for Lent 2021 is Lord Make Me an Instrument of Your Peace. Please mark your calendar, more details about Lent will be coming soon.

Looking for spiritual reading, why not stop by the PWC library and find a book that will assist you in growing in your relationship with Jesus. Spiritually fill your life up with one of many excellent resources that we have in our library. There is plenty of room for you to socially distance. The library is open during regular church office hours.

We have lots of new items in the Cross Shop, especially the new St. Francis statues. They are beautiful and inspiring, plus we have some new crosses from Billy Templeton. The Cross Shop is open on Sunday mornings and throughout the week during regular office hours. You can stop by and know that you are safe by socially distancing.

This past Sunday we heard from a number of people who have either signed up for their vaccine or have received their first shot. They said they were looking forward to safely getting out again! We are also keenly aware that some are struggling to get signed up. If you are having trouble navigating the site, please call Pastor Mark at the office, 480-649-0300 and he will assist you. Here is the link to register for the vaccine for Covid-19: https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov/. You can also call: 1-844-542-8201 or 602-542-1000.

Thank you for your continued tithing, it allows the ministry of PWC to continue on a daily basis ministering to so many members of the Body of Christ who are struggling. If you have lapsed in your giving, please bring it to prayer and ask Jesus to guide you. You can tithe in one of three ways:
Mail in your gift to: Praise and Worship Center, 2551 N. Arizona Avenue, Chandler, AZ 85225.
Donate on our web page: Donation Form.
Sign up for monthly giving with a credit card or voided check. Just call the office at 480-649-0300.

The sad and difficult reality is that over 400,000 Americans are dead due to Covid-19. We pray for their eternal rest. It is important for us to also realize the deceased have left so many loved ones behind who are struggling to restore their lives. We lift up those family members and friends who are mourning and ask that the peace of Jesus can embrace them with hope.

Have a blessed week!

Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
