Dear Friend,

Our in-person services continue this Sunday at 10:00 am. Our scripture reading for this Sunday is Mark 7:1-8, 14-15,21-23. If you are in town, we look forward to seeing you in person on Sunday at 10:00 am. It is vital we support one another in our Christian journey and gather as a community for worship every Sunday. This is what Christians do!

Please read, reflect, and pray with the passage before Sunday. The music for this Sunday can be found on the top-right hand corner of our website or below:

To participate in our services online, go to: PWC website and find the Facebook button at the top of our home page. We have donuts and fellowship after the service!

We are enthusiastic about our new modern camera system here at PWC! We used it for the first time last Sunday and we are still working out a few bugs, especially with the sound. Thank you in advance for your patience. The new system has three new cameras and video production equipment. This is due in part to the approval of the PWC board and the generosity of several people. This upgrade allows us to broadcast with different cameras and angles as well as fine tuning the production of our Sunday services and teachings on Wednesdays.

We have a Prayer Retreat tomorrow, Saturday, August 28th, in Building 412 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Our theme is Complete Dependence on God: Being Thankful. A number of our deacons will lead this uplifting session.

Your tithing allows the ministry of PWC to thrive; from ministering on Sunday through music, to outreach to the poor and needy, to adult education classes; to ministries to men and women; your giving allows these ministries and other ministries at PWC to continue and grow. Thank you for your continued giving! If you have been remiss in your giving, ask God to guide your heart.

In September, we will be offering adult education based on the book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. Now is a good time to start reading it. The book sells for $18.99; our price is only $16.00. Stop by the Cross Shop today and purchase a copy! The cost of the sessions is $15.00, and it includes another book. If there is an issue with payment, please know scholarships are available. Father Dale and members of our community will lead the class. Please put these dates on your calendar: September 22, 29, October 6, 13, and 20. You can sign up after service on Sunday.

Get involved at PWC today! Check out what is going on for the rest of August and September: PWC Event Calendar.

Stop by the Cross Shop during regular business hours, we have numerous books on sale to aid you in your spiritual growth with Jesus. During these summer months, as we seem to have more time on our hands, spiritual reading is an excellent way to refresh your soul!

If you are out of town for all or part of the summer, stay connected to our Sunday Worship Service and teachings on the PWC Facebook page.

If you are in need of pastoral counseling Fr. Mike Lessard is back and healed and is available on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Please call the church office to make an appointment at 480-649-0300.

Are you homebound? If so, Deacon John Null can bring you communion. The only exception is if you have or are recovering from Covid. The best way to get in touch with Deacon John is by contacting the church office, at 480-649-0300, and leaving a message.

If you are sick and in need of meals while you are sick, Dawn Paschke, Deacon Dennis’ wife, will be coordinating this ministry. To leave a message for Dawn, please call the church office at 480-649-0300.

Please always check in with our awesome, informative, and inspiring PWC website. We have lots of great information on the website about PWC! We are constantly updating it!

Over the past few weeks, we have had several members of our community come down with Covid. It appears the Delta variant is affecting people who have been vaccinated. For Sunday service we are going to social distance the chairs in church and strongly recommend we temporarily wear masks.

Please pray for all those who are hurting and struggling, so many need the peace of Jesus in their lives.

Fr. Dale and Pastor Mark
