Many people have asked about the Seven Daily Practices that we talked about on Facebook on Wednesday during God and Coffee. Here they are:
1. Start the day in quiet prayer and scripture reading before starting anything digital, like looking at your phone or turning on the TV.
2. Create a gratitude ritual: write down three things every day that you are thankful for in your life.
3. Exercise or go for a walk.
4. One focal practice: do something you love. For example: gardening, playing cards/game, woodworking, a hobby, reading.
5. Relational touch point: reach out to someone: make a phone call, text, Facetime, Zoom.
6. Limit intake of news to one to two times a day: set a time, for example: 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
7. Limit screen time and escapist behaviors: eating too much, limit sugar and alcohol.

We are truly living LENT this year. May Palm Sunday lead us to a new hope in the resurrection.
