Family Ministry

Family Ministry supports parents as they strive to raise their children to know and love Jesus Christ and to live as members of the Christian Community. The Praise & Worship Center provides CHILDCARE, SUNDAY PRESCHOOL, AND SCRIPTURE ‘N KIDS at no charge. Registration is not required, but children must be signed in and signed out up by a parent or other designated adult such as a grandparent.

CHILDCARE

Our beautiful new rooms are set up to provide Childcare at two levels: Infants through 18 months; and 18 months - 3 ½ years old. Using a professionally trained staff as well as volunteer members of our community, children are cared for in a clean, safe, nurturing environment. Childcare is available during the Sunday service for infants and toddlers and for children through age 5 during evening services and Adult Ed. Classes.

PRESCHOOL

Sunday Preschool is available for children ages 3 ½ -5 ½ years old during the Sunday morning 10am service. Professionally trained teachers use a variety of Christian based materials to help children experience God’s great love for them and to encourage them to love and respect others. Bible stories, music, dvds, games and arts and crafts activities are an integral part of Sunday Preschool.

SCRIPTURE ‘N KIDS

Children ages 6 - 11 have an opportunity to hear the Sunday Scripture reading proclaimed at their level of understanding. Every Sunday, the children will be called forth for a blessing before the Scripture reading. A trained facilitator will invite them to a classroom where they will hear and discuss the same reading as their parents. After participating in an activity and prayer time, the children will return to their families during the collection.
