The Praise & Worship Center

Leadership is comprised of the following:

Board of Directors

The role of a non-profit board member is comprised of three activities:

Financial Stewardship: Stewardship is the most important responsibility of a board member. Board fundraising activities may include major donor solicitations, sponsorship solicitations, member recruitment and efforts to boost event registrations.

Oversight of Programs: The Board insures appropriate accountability in all financial matters. The non-profit board is responsible for general oversight of the organization’s programs. This role does not extend to the operations behind the programs, but does include fiduciary oversight.

Strategic Planning: The board is the primary force behind the organization’s strategic planning decisions. Board members create or update the strategic plan and evaluate the implementation plan presented by staff.

Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee brings unique knowledge and skills, which compliment those of the formal board members in order to more effectively govern the organization.

Finance/Administration Committee

The Finance/Administration Committee is responsible to develop and recommend financial policy regarding business operations, manage the record keeping and the facilities.

Communication Committee

Communication is a process by which information is exchanged between individuals through a common system of symbols, signs or behavior. The Communication Committee accomplishes positive communications through internet, media relations, public relations and technical venues.

Hospitality/Ministry Committee

The Hospitality/Ministry Committee function is to show the Love of Christ to our guests and to help establish an atmosphere of friendliness, acceptance and warmth to all. It is also the goal of the committee to promote ministries, in addition to the worship service, designed to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the community.

Worship Committee

Worship is absorption with God rather than self. Worship is an act by the worshipers toward God, in which the will, the intellect and emotions gratefully respond to the revelation of God’s person through Jesus Christ. This can only occur as the Holy Spirit illuminates God’s written Word to a worshiper’s mind and heart. The act of worship implies communion and fellowship. God desires communion with humanity and we in turn are capable of fellowshipping with God. Our worship services must be conducted in a manner, which encourages and provides an atmosphere conductive of this fellowship between us and God, and encourages a lifestyle of worship.

The purpose of the Worship Committee is to meet regularly to plan and implement the Praise & Worship Center’s Praise & Worship Services in the areas of: Environment; Music; Ministry Involvement/Volunteers; Development, Printing and Distribution of Song Sheets.
